August-December 2024 Schedule

Our schedule is done through an email list. Please sign up to get emails so you will get cancellation/reschedule notifications, sign up reminders and the full scoop on all of our activities and gatherings.

All events are open to any families with children that do any type of education at home. 



August 16th 10:45-?

Anderson City Bus Field Trip

Arrive at the CATS bus terminal no later than 10:45 and ride the bus to a playground and then return to the terminal. Bring a lunch and quarters for bus fare (2$ per person)


August 29th 10-1

Flat Fork Creek Park bike ride and creek play

Bring your bikes and a lunch!


September 20th 10-1

Outdoor learning lab theater playdate

Try your hand at theater under junior director Wilco Johnson. Free play and picnic as well. 


September 27th 10-1

Fishers Agripark Playdate

Bring a lunch


October 3rd 10am

Westwind Fiber Farm Field Trip

Hands on class and tour at Westwind Fiber Farm in Yorktown. 7$ for ages 2 and up. RSVP with Bethany bethanyakeller@gmail.com 


October 10th 9:30-11:30

Tuttle Orchard Fall field trip

Field trip includes educational tour, cider sample, maze and playground admittance, you-pick apples, a pumpkin and a hayride. Please arrive at 9:20 so we can gather and check in before the start time. Bring a lunch (they also have delicious food available at their cafe) because we will be planning to stay and do the maze and play at Tractor Town after our tour is over. $12 per participant (babies are free unless they need their own apples and pumpkin). This was a  lot of fun last year and a great bang for your buck if your family plans on going to Tuttle this year.

Planetarium

The Magic Treehouse “Space Mission” Free, come early to leave plenty of time for parking. There is no parking lot for the planetarium. Charles W. Brown Planetarium at Ball State University
